The book showcases a selection of Arruda’s most evocative works, accompanied by insightful texts from Fernanda Brenner (curator and director of the Pivô independent art center in São Paulo) and Chris Sharp (curator and freelance author based in Mexico). The publication also includes excerpts from a conversation between Lucas Arruda and Hans Ulrich Obrist.

About the Artist
Born in 1983 in São Paulo, Brazil, Lucas Arruda lives and works in his hometown. His work has been featured in numerous prestigious group exhibitions, including:

  • Debout! at the Pinault Collection, Rennes (2018)

  • Nature and Abstraction at the Beyeler Foundation, Basel (2018)

  • Soft Power: Arte Brasil at Kunsthal KAdE, Amersfoort (2016)

  • New Shamans/Novos Xamãs: Brazilian Artists at the Rubell Family Collection, Miami (2016)

Arruda is represented by Mendes Wood DM and David Zwirner galleries.
